Job Summary

Primarily you will be working with new leads and clients and fostering business relationships to increase revenue from sales. You keep healthy relationships with clients. From simple chats on the phone to lunches and events or conferences, as a business development specialist, you must be sure to keep your customers happy. Of course, as with all business development roles, quality reporting and professional written proposals contribute significantly to your success. You support the Business Development Team by actively participating in the success of Bankingblocks; through your sales and business development activities, assistance with management reporting and regular feedback to upper management. In addition to good business acumen and relationship management you should possess quality computer skills including the ability to work in CRM and similar customer information management systems.

In this role, your responsibilities are:

  • Quickly gain a deep understanding of Bankingblocks’ product offerings
  • Implementing strategies to accelerate growth in target markets
  • Developing and managing new meaningful business opportunities
  • Track sales activities, responses and manage your leads independently
  • Creating sales proposals and helping new clients build their stack of blocks
  • Deliver sales presentations with the ability to persuade and close business
  • Managing existing strategic client relationships
  • Developing strong network relationships in the European market, and other identified markets
  • Accountable for negotiations with key partners
  • Ensuring and maintaining data quality and records of sales information
  • Developing and managing a healthy, operational sales pipeline

Required skills:

  • 2 years of experience in business development or a sales role, preferably in the Fintech, payments or banking industries
  • Strategic and commercial mindset
  • Ability to build and understand complex pricing models
  • Industry knowledge in payments, banking or fintech
  • An aptitude for building strong relationships
  • Social and loves to connect with decision makers
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Always tries to have a problem-solving approach
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and confident with technology

This role is to be performed in English. Additional languages are desirable but not essential.
