Financial Administrator – Bookkeeper

We are looking for a motivated Financial Administrator to join our Accounting Team in Brussels, Belgium. With Bankingblocks you will gain experience working within an expanding international organisation, in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Your Responsibilities

You will be required to:

  • Reconcile ledger accounts with invoices and payments
  • Operate multiple systems to search for the relevant data in order to perform your role efficiently and high-level of accuracy
  • Prepare tax declarations and reports
  • Handling VAT and tax return
  • Assisting in general ledger accounting and balancing of company books
  • Working closely with the other departments on any accounting topics and tasks

Experience Required

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional who has:

  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes
  • Good knowledge of Belgium GAAP & IFRS methodologies
  • Proficiency with the VAT and tax procedures in Belgium (knowledge of Benelux & DACH procedures is a plus)
  • Proactive attitude with a natural drive to deliver results and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate the accountancy language
  • Competency in MS Office (especially Excel), databases and accounting software
