Located in the city centre of Amsterdam, we are a dynamic fintech business which specialises in transactional acquiring and transactional banking services. Offering merchant facilities, payment services, current account issuance and international transaction processing, the Financial Operations Assistant will gain experience and knowledge across a wide range of payment and finance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of partner banking CRM access and activity
  • Processing of customer transactions, e.g. inputting on SEPA/SWIFT transactions, managing transaction outputs, outcomes, updating of transaction statuses
  • Reconciliation of accounting system with multi-currency bank accounts, acquiring settlements and alternative payment settlements
  • Investigation and resolution of transactional processing errors or process flows internally or at partner banks
  • Creation of invoices, consolidation and creation of partner commission reports/statements 
  • Liaising with partners, corporate account holders and intermediary banks regarding customer queries and payment issues
  • Liaising with internal teams and departments regarding data discrepancies or processes impacting transaction management within the organisation 
  • Assisting the financial manager in monitoring currency liquidity and organisational cash-flow
  • Creation of settlement and payment instructions for client fund settlement, partner commission settlement or outward transfers
  • Daily bookkeeping tasks, statement and invoice generation, administrative tasks related specifically to the finance department and operation of financial service products

 Person Specification:

  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables and general computer competency
  • Highly organised, ability to self-manage assigned workloads and demonstrate logical prioritisation
  • Experience within a Fintech, bank, payment company or financial services company
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a finance role 
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Self-management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Strong English language skills are mandatory
